Dangote succeeds in taking over Katsina Songhai project

President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote yesterday succeeded in taking over the Katsina Songhai Initiative project via a 10-year lease agreement.
The multi-billion Naira agro-allied processing facility situated in Dutsinma council, initiated by the previous administration, cost the Dangote Group N500 million.
According to a Vanguard Newspapers report Friday, July 6, Dangote promised to utilize and make the facility bedrock for tomatoes processing in the country while signing the Memorandum of Understanding, MoU.
There’s No investor like Dangote, says Sen Adamu

Former governor of Nassarawa State, Nigeria, Senator Abdullahi Adamu has described President/CEO of Dangote Group of Companies, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, as the best investor in Nigeria, and Africa in view of his great investments in agriculture, oil refinery, cement production and many others, saying there is no investor like him.
Adamu who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Agriculture, stated this at the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Nasarawa State Government and Dangote Group for acquisition of land in Tunga, Nasarawa State for production and refinery on Thursday June 8, 2017.
“The same Dangote Group is involved in rice production in Nigeria, investing one billion US dollar in rice production, and other involvement in agriculture like tomato production and processing, palm trees for palm oil production and other major investments in agriculture.
“There is no other investor, either local or foreign, that has done as Dangote is doing. We can not thank you enough. We can only pray that the Almighty God will continue to guide and sustain you, for your commitment and foresight.” he said.
According to him, by investing 700 million US dollars in sugar production and refinery project in the state, which will generate employment for about 30,000 people directly, Alh. Dangote has brought prosperity to the people of the state.
He made it clear that since the sugar production and refinery plant will be the largest in West Africa, that expressed how great he is when it comes to investing in the country.
The traditional ruler of Tunga as well honoured Alh. Dangote with traditional title of Jerumantunga which connotes someone who has conquered the unseen. He said the land was there and they couldn’t see how to make money out of it, but Dangote who could see it has come to help them turn it to source of big income.
